Ri's 6th Birthday

Riley's Birthday was this month!

She started off her day with her birthday breakfast of strawberry waffles and whip cream

(notice the crown?? She got it from her teacher at school and literally wouldn't take it off for about 5 days straight, even after Chase ripped it up, then she taped it back together!)

Then that day, she chose 2 friends and went to a movie and ice cream. We went and saw The Lorax, and they loved it! It was a great day to celebrate with her, we all had a blast!

A little about Riley... she is her own person! She has very clear ideas about what she wants to do, and really doesn't care what others are doing, which can be good or bad? She is extremely curious about everything in the world, and asks questions all day about anything and everything she notices. She just wants to know now! She is very smart and understands things quickly. She loves helping with Chase and will do anything I ask her to do, with 1 exception - cleaning her room. She has figured out what makes her sister angry, and loves to tease her, hopefully that fades soon ;) She is very crafty, and creates all sorts of things with paper, tape and glue. She is active and always wants to be going somewhere, or doing something. She loves hearing stories from our childhood, she loves to read. She gives really good hugs and loves to cuddle and be close to us. We love her so much!!

Happy Birthday Riley Roo!

Chase turns ONE!

We had a joint party for Chase with our good friends, who's son (Benson) is only 8 days older than Chase. It was so fun with all our friends with all the little kiddos! Here are some pictures of the festivities

We made these little crowns for the boys big day

Our cute cake

Fun with destroying the cake

He was so funny with the cake, at first he was just picking at it, then he just grabbed the whole piece with his hands, shoved it in his face and started taking bites. His buddy Benson was handless and just dipping his face in the cake. they were pretty funny to watch.

This was such a great day, with great weather! Some other things we did were play pin the tail on the dinosaur for the big kids. And we had buckets of bubbles and sidewalk chalk for the little kids, and of course some good eats for the adults!

Happy Birthday to my (not too much longer Baby) Boy!
