I'm a Such a Big GirL

Here are some things I can do because I'm such a big girl

I can sleep in my own big girl bed!

I can choose my OWN outfits!

I can put on my own makeup - and somehow think that Mommy won't find out!

I can help give my little sister a bath!

DOES LIFE GET ANY BIGGER??

Riley's scootin along

Last night I went to get the car washed, it was closed. So what else was I supposed to do except go to Toys R Us. To Mike's surprise, I picked up a new scooter for Riley. She's been trying to ride her friends scooters, so I thought it was time to get her own. She is doing really good, I'm very impressed with her coordination so far. Keep workin hard and maybe we'll get ya a bike next!

Thanks to Toria for showing me how to ride so good!

Yes, its our claim to fame - we know someone on the cover of a church magazine! For those of you that receive the Ensign, you noticed this cute woman on the front. Her name is Kathy Ng, (aka Sister Ng) she was one of the main missionaries that taught Mike 6 years ago when he was investigating the church! She now lives in Hong Kong, I have never met her, but I have heard some GREAT stories, mainly from Robbin :). Mike was taught by only sister missionaries - what a lucky guy!
I am so grateful for these wonderful women that gave up 1 1/2 of their lives to come teach the gospel and so grateful they found Mike - they taught him so well. Missionary work has always been one of my weaknesses and I never would have guessed that a little missionary work could affect my life so deeply. These women were truly an instruments in the hands of God, and I will be forever grateful for them.

Happy Fathers Day, my Honey

This parent thing has proven to be more difficult than Mike and I could ever have imagined! I just wanted to let Mike know how proud I am of the Daddy he is turning out to be. He is so loving and sensitive to our girls and is constantly a good example of how to live the gospel. He takes care of us in so many different ways, we always feel more safe when he is around. I love to sit and watch him just be with Riley and Chloe, and I love the way they look at him. I am so proud to have him as my husband and I know our girls will grow up and be honored to call him their Dad.

So far this month . . .

Made a new bow for Chloe

Walk into the room to find Riley feeding Chloe, at least it was actually a bottle and not a Cheerio or a tortilla chip like last time

My sister Keri calls and says she wants to come visit for the weekend, and brings my nephew Conner, while his Mom works. She's been a huge help!

Riley gets sick with a 103 temperature, good thing Conner is there to comfort her (she adores him!) Look how sickly she looks! - it was so sad, she wouldn't go anywhere without her blanky

You are my sunshine

The multiple personalities of my Riley & Chloe

thoughtful

sexy

silly

excited

loving

disclaimer: Mike did not want me to put the "sexy" one on here. So, I just have to say that I don't teach my daughter to be sexy, in fact she's probably never heard that word before. The picture just seemed to look like she was being sexy - happy Mike?? :) :)

Bye Young Womens

Last Sunday, I was released from the Young Womens presidency about 10 minutes before sacrament meeting and I was kinda shocked! I've been in Young Womens for about a year and a half, and even though there's been struggles, its been such a joy and a learning experience for me. When I was first called, our ward was paired with a spanish branch (which had about 20 YW). A few months ago we split from them and we only have 3 YW (2 of which have recently gone inactive). So our lessons are taught to 1 girl, Emily. I am so proud of her, she has grown so much in the past few months, and I think she is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met! I am very sad to leave Young Womens and I know I was called there for a reason. I am now called to teach the Valiant 9 class, which has some great kids in it, and I know there will be plenty of learning experiences waiting for me there!

This is our presidency with Emily on my last night of mutual with them.
(Susan, Emily, Ali, Jaime)

We went to see her dance performance for the activity, she did a great job!

Big Girl Bed

We finally got a big girl bed for Riley! Riley loved it at first and wanted to play on it, but going to bed on it was a completely different story! Here's how the night went:
7:30 - read books, lay with her for a few minutes
8:00 - she's out of bed
8:15 - lay with her a little longer, she falls asleep
1:00 am - I wake up to her staring at me, I walk her back to bed
1:10 - she's in our room again - I go lay with her in her bed
1:30 - she's back in our room, I put her back in her crib
1:40 - she climbs out of her crib and is back in our room, Mike walks her back to her room, says if she gets out, that he'll put her in timeout
1:50 - she's back in our room, Mike puts her in timeout! - then lays her back down
2:00 - she's back in our room! I take her back and lock the door so she can't get out (am I a mean mom or what) - she then screams for 5 minutes
2:15 - Mike goes in and puts her in her crib, she finally falls asleep

Total craziness! Can anyone help?? What do I do?
