Brinner

Breakfast for Dinner = Brinner

There is just something comforting about waffles(loaded with syrup)at night!

Any other fans??

A princess tea party

(sorry, I couldn't manage to get the sippy cup away from her lips)

We were invited to a princess tea party and the girls were asked to wear their little gowns. Here they are all dolled up. I wish I got a picture of the back of Ri's hair, it was in little ringlets!
However this tea party did turn sour. The very second I drove up to their house, I noticed no cars in front, then quickly realized "today isn't the 28th" (which was the day of the party).
Bummer! We were all dressed up with now where to go.

I almost burst into tears at the look on Riley's face. Bright side is - we get to do the whole thing over next week!

A great cause!

Anyone in San Jose, this is a new lady in our ward and she could use you!!

There is a very special event to help raise money for a specially trained service dog for Nicole Penner. This dog will give Nicole the freedom to do things many of us take for granted such as grocery shopping, being in large groups of people, or even taking a walk and being able to find her way home safely. Having a specially trained service dog to help will enable Nicole to enjoy these things as well as many more.

All of the money raised during this event will go toward getting this service dog, as well as funding the travel needed for training.

July 18th, 2009 10am-6pm Discovery Meadow at Guadalupe River Park ,Woz St on San Carlos St San Jose, CA 95110

Trying to be a good Mom!

I'm lazy.

I would love to just to sit around all day.

But, what would be the point of me being a "stay at home Mom" if my kids aren't experiencing the world and learning about it.

I feel like my kids are often at the mercy of "go along with Mom while she needs to get things done"

I really want to do things for THEM!! Here are a few of my attempts:

Making Snickerdoodles and sittin' on the kitchen floor lickin' the beaters! I, of course, taught them how to appropriately get your tongue around the beaters, so that we don't miss a drop.

Made another beach trip, I'll probably go every week this month! This day was GLORIOUS! We stayed for 3 hours! - that's long for a 1 & 3 year. Showed them how to layout and get maximum tanning exposure. just kidding.

Went to a farm (to my san jose peeps - its free! Emma Prusch Park). Don't get too excited, it was a small farm, but they had places to sit and eat, and a huge park. Our favorite part, was walking to the bathroom, and getting scared by the 2 chickens, chillin by the phone, pretty funny. I discussed with Riley that we need to eat before we play, because picnics are really important to all people, not sure where I pulled that one from. I know she was like "whatever Mom" but it got her to sit and eat.

Riley's Swim Class

Now that she's 3, she can do her own classes, without it being a "Mommy & Me class" Her first day, she felt a little scared, so we said a prayer that she would be brave - and she sure was brave! She volunteered for everything, and was the first to put her head under the water. I was so proud of her.
