We went for 4 days last week and had a really great time....and a few mishaps of course! We went with my sister Traci and her 2 kids Camryn and Conner. Here's our trip in a nutshell:
We went to Old Town the first night, which is the "birthplace" of California. It looked like an Old Town ... hence: Old Town. We walked around some of the shops, then went to a cute little Mexican Place that was all outside

The next day we headed to Sea World! What a blast!! Riley had been talking about Shamu for a week straight... which we think there wasn't a shamu there, just some other awesome whales. They had so many things to see and do, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

After the beach we headed to La Jolla shores, but made some wrong turns along the way and we all ended up frustrated, but we found a decent place to eat, and lets be honest, thats most important!

On the 3rd day, we headed to Coronado Island to the beautiful white sandy beaches (which are way better than up north...I know, shocker!) We hung out there for quite some time. I could've stayed ALL DAY, but my sweet Mike was getting a little burned on his scalp, he had blisters the next day :(

After the beach we headed to La Jolla shores, but made some wrong turns along the way and we all ended up frustrated, but we found a decent place to eat, and lets be honest, thats most important!
On our last day, we found a GREAT little breakfast place to eat, If I could remember the name, I'd recommend it. Soooo yums!

Besides our mishaps of the La Jolla experience and Mikes sunburn, Riley had some of her own.
At midnight one night we wake up to her crying, she had fallen off the bed. Mike held her then layed her back down. When we woke up, we discovered a huge scratch on her eye, and a small black eye. Poor thing had hit the night stand on the way down
Then the next morning, her and Chloe were playing around and then we hear this huge crack. Riley banged her tooth on Chloe's head and blood was gushing out. After a little ice, it got better. She looked like a boxer with a black eye and a fat lip. Poor baby!
Overall, a great time! Don't be surprised if our Christmas cards come from San Diego one of these years!!

I totally agree with you! I loved San Diego when Paul and I visited last September. It is beautiful! But I think I would miss the Big Sur and Carmel. I don't know. You're probably right. I think sometimes I want to move there, because when I visited I didn't have any responsibility there, but once you move and become a resident I think it kinda changes.
Oh man! If you move to San Diego, I may have to reconsider my decision to never live in SoCal!!! I don't like it there, only to visit, but all of my most awesome buds are moving there, or have moved there. =( If you and Mike and the babies go, I may have to reconsider...
Poor Riley. You should really stop beating her so much. j/k. I totally agree with you. I love San Diego! It's gorgeous! I could totally live there someday.
