Riley's Soccer Season Starts!

Chloe was Riley's Cheering Section!!

Soccer Star in Action...

Riley's true colors really come out on the field. She is very competitive, aggressive (in a good way), and fast! I have to say she beat all the other kids everytime...sorry I'm a bragging parent...whatever, I'm not sorry, I can brag!! Hopefully this will help her channel some of her energy in a positive way!

Keep hustling Riley!!

Jessica

I had the privlege of attending one of my oldest friends baby shower. We were great friends all through High School and Jr. College.  I haven't seen Jessica in a few years and it was so fun to see her all cute and pregnant! I wish we lived closer!
This is us...back in the day.

Giggly Girls

I took these pictures because my girls loved the fact that I wrapped them in one towel, while theirs were being washed. They COULD NOT stop laughing and giggling!

My baby's in preschool!

We applied to this preschool back in May, and we didn't get in. But 2 days ago we got a letter that there was a spot open! We were so excited!

Riley wasn't even scared, when we walked in, she went right with the teacher and didn't even see how sad and proud I was all at the same time! Then when I came to pick her up, they were finishing the snack and she says "I'm not done with my snack yet Mom - Go Home".....sigh :(

My little girl is already too cool for me, I'd like to think it just meant she really liked it.

San Francisco

I've been wanting to go to San Francisco ALL SUMMER!!! We just couldn't find a good time to make it up there, so when an old friend called and said he was there for 1 night on business, we headed right on up.
Erik baptized Mike almost 8 years ago (has it seriously been 8 years??), he lives in Colorado, so we don't often get to see him and his cute family (it was just him this trip) And because he was on a "business" trip he could expense the whole night - Thanks for being our sugar daddy Erik! We had a great time!
That's an alligator made out of sourdough.
Bread Bowl & Clam Chowder...mouthwatering!

Lovin those cute sea lions!

Whistle while you work...

...Well my little one likes to dance while she works!

Riley loves to help me "fold" the laundry. I looked over at her today and she was just shakin' her little body all over to the music while folding, it made me laugh!

Chloe's 18 months

This is a pretty big age for me, because it means she gets to go to nursery at church! Yippee!!

She had her doctor check up and is still in the 5% for her weight and 15% for height. She's so teeny!

I'm so glad I caught this image, this is her new "pouty face". She made the face the entire time during her doctor visit! As she was unsure of what the doctor was going to do to her, it was pretty funny

(At The Doctor Office)

In the last few months, her personality has definitely blossomed. Here are some of the things we love about her:

*She has become a little shy around people, and quite feisty when her big sis tries to mess with her.
*She feeds herself, and won't eat unless she has her fork or spoon.
*She LOVES books! If I didn't tidy up during the day, every book would be out of the box, because she's looked at them all.
* She needs to point things out to me, she'll scream "MAMA" "MAMA" until I acknowledge her. If I don't answer her quickly, she'll scream "RI-EE" "RI-EE" (Riley)
* She loves songs, she knows the motions to itsy bitsy spider, and patty cakes, and this week started singing "Happy Day, Mommy" which is her version of the Happy Birthday song.
* She's discovered Elmo, and tries to say his name, it sounds like "ELO"
* She pouts in the corner if I tell her no.
and the best for last
* She hugs me for a good minute every morning she wakes up.

Chloe and Riley being cute

Zucchini

Remember "my itty bitty garden"?

Well it turned out to be just that.

My tomatoes grew to about 3 feet then turned brown and croaked, same with basil and cilantro.

My zucchini has since produced 2 zucchinis, and I still see more there, so there has been some success! I'm not too upset, it is after all my first try...we'll see about next year!

This is my 2nd zucchini.
I made bread with it, yum

Our Vacation to San Diego

I think we'll move to San Diego one of these days. The area is so beautiful, and I heard its cheaper than San Jose to live.
We went for 4 days last week and had a really great time....and a few mishaps of course! We went with my sister Traci and her 2 kids Camryn and Conner. Here's our trip in a nutshell:

We went to Old Town the first night, which is the "birthplace" of California. It looked like an Old Town ... hence: Old Town. We walked around some of the shops, then went to a cute little Mexican Place that was all outside

The next day we headed to Sea World! What a blast!! Riley had been talking about Shamu for a week straight... which we think there wasn't a shamu there, just some other awesome whales. They had so many things to see and do, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

On the 3rd day, we headed to Coronado Island to the beautiful white sandy beaches (which are way better than up north...I know, shocker!) We hung out there for quite some time. I could've stayed ALL DAY, but my sweet Mike was getting a little burned on his scalp, he had blisters the next day :(

After the beach we headed to La Jolla shores, but made some wrong turns along the way and we all ended up frustrated, but we found a decent place to eat, and lets be honest, thats most important!

On our last day, we found a GREAT little breakfast place to eat, If I could remember the name, I'd recommend it. Soooo yums!

Besides our mishaps of the La Jolla experience and Mikes sunburn, Riley had some of her own.

At midnight one night we wake up to her crying, she had fallen off the bed. Mike held her then layed her back down. When we woke up, we discovered a huge scratch on her eye, and a small black eye. Poor thing had hit the night stand on the way down

Then the next morning, her and Chloe were playing around and then we hear this huge crack. Riley banged her tooth on Chloe's head and blood was gushing out. After a little ice, it got better. She looked like a boxer with a black eye and a fat lip. Poor baby!

Bloody tooth Eye scrape

Overall, a great time! Don't be surprised if our Christmas cards come from San Diego one of these years!!
