The Winter Ball

Our stake had a winter ball, and Mike and I had some friends that were kind enough to babysit, so we got dressed up and off we went.
It was kinda funny, it felt like we were going to our senior prom together. We even got our picture taken together, and it made me think:

Would Mike and I date if we were in high school together??... sad to say, but probably not.
(I think we would have had the same friends, and I think that's where it would have stayed. We were even in our singles ward for 2 years and never discovered each other. Our romance started at the right time for both of us, and it was a perfect whirlwind!)

So here's my question :
Would you have dated your husband in high school??

Precious little Prayers

Riley always wants to say the prayer! Sometimes she'll just start saying it, even after we have begun. I love how she bows her head, I love that she folds her arms the whole time, I love that she actually closes her eyes, I love that she waits to eat while the prayer is being said, I love, love, love that she wants to say it all the time, I hope she understands how special and important prayer really is.

She usually says the same things, and it goes something like this:
thank you my friends
thank you Jesus
thank you church
thank you Jesus (she says this twice)
make good choices
love thee

Then the other night, Mike wasn't home from work yet and she actually added, "Daddy get home safely." I was so proud of her actually thinking of that all by herself.

I adore her precious little prayers.

Cutie Mctootie is what we call her these days

Her new obsessions :
1. The new Cinderella dress
2. Nintendo DS (Conner left it here)

I just love the image of her in her frilly dess-up clothes while playing a guitar hero video game. Its kinda the vision I have of her in my head. Cute girl who likes all of the girly stuff, but likes to be a little tomboy too. luuuuuvv her.

Chloe at 11 months

Really?

This little one is a climber! And it scares the "you know what" out of me... scary!
(I probably should have gotten her down instead of taking pictures, but I couldn't resist)

A visit with the cousins

Camryn and Conner (my niece & nephew) came to visit last weekend and Aunt Keri too. Riley was so excited to see them, she just SCREAMED the moment she saw them. We mainly just hung out, and they also brought me Christmas presents from my Mom (it was like a 2nd Christmas-it was great). My Mom gave me a bunch of food storage, probably a months worth - I love it!

Conner & Chloe
I love all these pictures.

He was being so tender with her

He does smile!

The way Chloe is looking at him.

Camryn & Riley
Sisters or Cousins? They resemble each other so much, even more when I fixed their hair the same (which didn't turn out that good, oh well)Love them. Always look forward to our visits!

Baby Chloe's 1st Christmas

I could have gotten Chloe nothing and she would have been happy playing with the wrapping paper -we weren't surprised. Nonetheless, she had a ball playing with all the stuff that was all over the floor. She turned 10 months on Christmas day, and is as sweet as ever, although she is becoming a picky little eater! Some of her favorites from Christmas was the yellow squishy ball, the sugary fruit loops she got in her stocking, and of course the ribbon & wrapping paper. Happy First Christmas, we love you!

Riley's Christmas

This year was really fun with Riley, because she figured the whole Christmas thing out. We added some spirituality to our Holiday, by doing a little nativity with some friends, Riley played Mary and loved every second of it, she kept asking to do it again. Going to bed on Christmas Eve, I think we were more excited than she may have been, I couldn't wait to see her face in the morning. We had a great day of just hanging out, eating candy and watching movies, and Riley played with her new toys ALL day. Her favorites were the Princess Belle with a matching horse, Hungry, Hungry Hippos game, and her apron set.
